What this site is
ebuses.be is a public reference for battery-electric city buses in Belgium: one specification sheet per bus model and per bus charger, every value with the source it came from, and short factual pages about where Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia stand, the rules and the money, and the makers and importers. It starts with Flanders, where De Lijn and its contracted operators run the largest fleet, and covers the three regions because the rules for buses, low-emission zones and subsidies are regional in Belgium.
It exists in two languages, English at / and Simplified Chinese at /zh/, because the people who need it are on both sides: Belgian operators, municipalities and importers, and the Chinese makers, exporters and investors who supply a growing share of Europe’s electric buses. The two versions show the same sheets and the same data.
Who makes it
The site is built and kept by Avigus BV, Boom, Belgium. Avigus is a Belgian company and is independent of any bus maker: it does not represent, distribute or sell any of the buses or chargers on this site, and no maker pays for a sheet or a page. Avigus also builds and keeps the sister sites on the same machinery: eTrucksAndChargers.com for heavy electric trucks, their chargers and batteries, eVansAndChargers.com for vans, and the cost calculators on eTRUCKTCO.eu.
What Avigus can do for a maker or an exporter who wants to sell to a Belgian operator is practical help with the steps that the makers page describes: reading Belgian tender documents, checking exposure to the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation, EU type approval through a European technical service, the contacts for regional homologation, after-sales partners in Belgium, and the cybersecurity documentation operators now ask for. Any such help is agreed case by case; nothing on this site is a claim of representation or exclusivity. Write to the contact page.
How the sheets work
- Pre-filled from published sources. Every row of a sheet carries what the maker, an operator, the Flemish Parliament, the trade press or a report published, with a link beside the value. A row nobody has published stays empty; the site does not guess.
- Calculated figures say so. A value that is a sum or an estimate is marked “calculated” in the row and carries no source.
- Anyone can correct a value. Type into the row, press Review & send, confirm the link in the e-mail you receive. Avigus checks the change; once approved it is on the page for everyone, with a version number and your name in the history. Your e-mail address is never shown.
- One sheet per bus, in both languages. The Chinese page of a bus shows the same sheet and the same history as the English one. The editing tool itself is in English on both.
- The sheets are not indexed by search engines, because anyone can change what is on them; the listing and content pages are.
What is on a page, and what is not
Facts only with a dated source, and 2025–2026 primary sources where they exist: De Lijn, the Flemish Parliament, STIB-MIVB, TEC, EU law, maker datasheets. Where a figure could not be confirmed, the page says “not published” rather than guessing. Belgian regional rules are stated as such, not only the EU rule above them. There is no advertising on this site and no commission on anything it lists.
